TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIA: EDRA HORIZONS
EDRA Horizons is a series of regional symposia whose primary purpose is the translation of design research into practice and policy. The EDRA Horizons: Symposia is an opportunity for the organizer(s) to bring educators from across North America and beyond to their location. The purpose of each symposium is to convene policymakers, designers, design researchers, journalists, and students on a shared topic so that awareness of the latest advances in design research may result in changes to policy and design. Attendance at each EDRA Horizons: Symposia is anticipated to be 120-150 people. Joint proposals from academic institutions and partnerships with other groups, such as architecture and design firms, are welcome. EDRA invites those interested to review the EDRA Horizons: Symposia Guidelines for further details on proposal requirements. A link to that document can be found here.
