Student Resources

EDRA Student Resources

EDRA has a large and active community of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students from around the world. Together, they make up 30% of the EDRA membership. We have opportunities for students to join EDRA conferences or participate in any of our activities. If you have not yet signed up for a student membership, visit this link to become a student member. Below are some opportunities available to EDRA student members:

Graduate Student Mentoring Workshop

The Graduate Student Mentoring Workshop is an initiative of the Environmental Design Research Association designed to provide a forum for graduate students to present and discuss their ongoing research with senior mentors in environment-behavior design research. Held during EDRA's annual conference, the purpose of the workshop is to strengthen and further thesis/dissertation work, as well to support the development of networks for young researchers in this area, both with senior researchers and with other graduate students.

Student scholarships and awards

A limited number of conference scholarships in the form of reduced or complimentary conference registration and/or travel reimbursement are available for current EDRA student members who have been accepted to present at this year’s EDRA conference.

Student Volunteer Opportunities

Student volunteers at the conference receive, in exchange for about 10 hours of work, access to all conferences sessions and significant additional discount off of conference registration. In addition, student volunteers have access to network with the most senior academics and practitioners in their profession. It is a window into seeing who is at EDRA and how the organization works.

Career Center

The EDRA Career Center online resource center where you can post your resume, view job openings and search for careers tailored to the Environment & Behavior fields.

EDRA Student Members Facebook Group

The Student Members Facebook Group is dedicated to connecting EDRA's student members throughout the entire year. The group provides a forum to discuss student research, make connections, and plan for the annual EDRA conference.  Find this group page by searching “EDRA Student Members” from inside Facebook.
