EDRA CONFERENCE AWARDS AND STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Annual Best Paper Awards
All those who submit a proposal to our annual EDRA Conference have the opportunity during the submission process to indicate if they would like the submission to be considered for the Best Paper Award. Those full length papers that are accepted will be judged on the submission's quality of research, quality of writing, and alignment of the project to EDRA's mission.
Annual Student Awards
We seek the best student work for these awards: thought-provoking research and forward-thinking design concepts that exemplify EDRA’s principles. The awards program is a fantastic opportunity for students to receive recognition for their work, move forward in their thesis or dissertation writing, and contribute to the body of knowledge and practice that makes EDRA the leader in environmental design research.
Nana Kirk Student Travel Scholarships
The Nana Kirk Student Travel Scholarship (formerly known as the Student Travel Award program) offers a limited number of scholarships to help offset the cost of student travel to EDRA conferences. In 2018, the scholarship has been renamed in memory of the late Nana Kirk, EDRA member, Board of Directors and 2012 EDRA Service Award Recipient who embodied the passion and commitment that many EDRA student members have for our social justice, diversity, and equality. You can learn more about Nana and her work here. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded each year to help offset the varying costs to attend our conferences. The funds vary from year to year, but they usually include a full student conference registration, with any additional funds used for partial travel reimbursement.
