B Sanborn

B Sanborn is an independent researcher, writer, and educator partnering with designers, clients, and organizations in the built environment. Through their practice, Signal to Method, they help organizations build lasting research capability, not just conduct studies. Their methodology bridges anthropology, environmental psychology, and organizational behavior, shaped by over a decade of leadership at two major integrated design firms and as an adjunct instructor in the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. B serves as 2025-26 Board Chair of the Environmental Design Research Association and sits on the EDAC Advisory Council at the Center for Health Design. They are a member of the American Psychological Association's Climate Change Knowledge Communit, an Allied member of AIA, and active in Charleston, SC efforts around preservation, conservation, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
