EDRA AMBASSADOR FUND AWARD

Purpose:

EDRA values the diverse contributions that individuals living and working outside of the US make to the organization and its annual conference. EDRA wishes to ensure that it works to support EDRA members from developing nations—who may have limited financial means to attend an EDRA conference—can travel and participate more easily. The Ambassador Fund Award is valued at $600 and can be used as a 25% discount toward a conference registration fee.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be a non-student professional or scholar working in a developing country
• Applicants must have an accepted abstract at EDRA55
• Applicants must attend the conference
• Applicants must have limited financial support to attend the conference

How to Apply:

• Complete a short online form (link at bottom of page)
• A statement of support from a supervisor or colleague (or any document) that demonstrates that the applicant has limited financial means to attend the conference

Selection Criteria:

The review committee (conference planning committee) will select individuals based on financial need and will more likely leverage the opportunity.  They will select applicants who are eager to become EDRA Ambassadors and promote EDRA within their network.

Expectations of EDRA Ambassador Scholars:

• Applicants must confirm their ability to attend the conference by April 30th, 2024
• Agree to be featured on the EDRA website and social media as recipients of the award
• Agree to share their experience with EDRA after attending the conference to publicise the award
• Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to promote EDRA within their own professional network

Expectations of EDRA Ambassador Donors:

• Donors may donate in increments of $600
• Donors will be recognized with EDRA’s Ambassador Fund Donor Award
