The Community-Engaged Design Teaching Faculty position will be an integral member of the Design Studies Department. This hybrid position will teach design and design strategy courses and develop strategic partnerships with the community and industry through the new DesignConnect Initiative. The vision of DesignConnect is to foster interdisciplinary design research, connect design professionals, researchers and the public to respond to local, national and global needs. It will act as a nexus of design research, design consultancy and co-created design to provide stimulating opportunities for engaged student learning in efforts towards addressing larger societal issues.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY AND THEORY
The Faculty of Architecture invites applicants for a full-time probationary (tenure-track) position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture, commencing on 1 July 2025.
We are seeking candidates who can address the critical role that colonial practices have played in western architecture since antiquity, as well as the exploration of non-western architectural practices, including Indigenous cultures, from ancient times to the present. The successful candidate will contribute to a suite of lecture courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels offering critical historical, theoretical and global perspectives on past and present trends in architecture. This position will also entail studio teaching that links these perspectives to design practice.
