EDRA Fall Translational Research Symposium Cancelled

On behalf of EDRA, the Board of Directors regret to announce the EDRA Fall Translational Research Symposium, which was rescheduled for fall 2016, has been cancelled. This decision was made after careful consideration by the event’s co-sponsors, BBH Design and NC State University, as their projected workloads for 2016 require them to focus on their support of the upcoming EDRA 47 annual conference. EDRA is sensitive to the impact this decision has on the speakers, students, and attendees who were to be involved in the Symposium. To this end, we want to announce two great events at EDRA 47 in Raleigh, NC this May that may be of particular interest to you.

First, we are happy to share that the Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE) recognition ceremony will be held at the 2016 EDRA annual conference (EDRA47Raleigh) during the Welcome Reception at 6-8 pm on Wednesday May 18, 2016.  The Welcome Reception will be held at the main level of the Raleigh Convention Center. CORE recipients will be contacted directly to determine if they will be able to attend this event to be honored in-person.

Secondly, as part of EDRA’s goals for the year to engage membership and prioritize EDRA’s programs and projects with member input, we are inviting EDRA members to the Members Meeting at the annual conference, on Friday May 20, 2016 at 4:30-6pm, during which we’ll discuss future and possible alternative formats for the Translational Research Symposium and the best ways to engage and connect researchers in practice in the future.

To register to attend the EDRA47Raleigh conference, please visit the conference website and scroll to “Register Now”.  Questions or comments? Please contact Marechiel Santos-Lang, EDRA’s Executive Director, at msantoslang@edra.org.
