The Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), in coordination with our symposium hosts BBH Design and the North Carolina State University College of Design, regret to announce that the EDRA Fall Translational Research Symposium, which was scheduled to be held in Raleigh, NC on Saturday October 10, 2015, has been postponed. After careful consideration, the event has been postponed until spring 2016 in order to optimize the industry impact and attendance to this event.

The Translational Research Symposium highlights timely and critical foci where intersections and connections with clients, practitioners, policy makers, and community leaders are afforded and research is put into action. EDRA, BBH Design, and the NCSU College of Design strongly support the theme, content, and speaker expertise assembled for this event, and we believe that the selection of a new date will enhance participation and allow for achievement of the symposium goals aforementioned. It is our sincere intent to maintain the current team of speakers, moderators, and PhD students as we reschedule the event.

In addition, due to the symposium postponement, recipients of the EDRA Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE), who were to be acknowledged at the October 10, 2015 event, will instead receive their award-statues by mail in the coming weeks. EDRA will, however, invite CORE recipients to the spring 2016 symposium, so that they may be honored in person at the rescheduled event.

We genuinely thank the sponsors, speakers, advertisers, and event registrants of the EDRA 2015 Translational Research Symposium for their time and support. We look forward to a successful symposium in the spring of 2016.
