Ask EDRA: Interdisciplinary Design Studios
Hepi Wachter and I are and have been working on an interdisciplinary design studio the last two semesters.  Fall included Interior Design, Architecture, and Construction Science students.  This spring includes Interior Design and Architecture students with some input from the CNS Faculty on Life Cycle Costing.

We’d like to hear from other schools that have run interdisciplinary studios and find out the outcome of the research they were doing with them.  We’ve been focusing on creativity, quality of design, communications and team work, and developing collaborative skills in the work environment.
