ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN RESEARCH ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES 2011-2012 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

(McLean, VA, August 1, 2011) – The Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) is pleased to announce its 2011-2012 Board of Directors. Nicholas Watkins, Ph.D.,Senior Associate and Director of Research at HOK, will serve as the National Chair. A longtime EDRA member, Watkins was elected to the EDRA Board of Directors in 2009 and has previously served as Treasurer and Chair-Elect.

Environmental Design Research Association Announces the Recipients of the 13th Annual Great Places Awards

June 2, 2011 (McLean, VA) – Four exemplary projects in architecture, planning, landscape architecture, and urban design have been named winners of the 2011 Great Places Awards, and were honored during the 42nd annual conference of the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), May 25-28, 2011. The EDRA Great Places Awards recognize professional and scholarly excellence in environmental design and pay special attention to the relationship between physical form and human activity or experience.

Environmental Design Research Association Assembles Esteemed Jury to Judge 13th Annual Great Places Awards

March 29, 2011 (McLean, VA) – The Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) recently assembled a jury of well-respected professionals with diverse backgrounds in design, research, teaching and practice to judge the 2011 Great Places Awards for Place Design, Place Planning Place Research, and Book Award. The jury participated in the peer review, deliberation, and scoring necessary to select the winners of the 2011 Great Places Awards during the day-long judging session, hosted by the School of Planning and Architecture at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD.

(McLean, VA, August 2, 2010) – Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), the leading organization in environmental design research, is pleased to announce its new and exciting partnership with Coulter Nonprofit Management.
